Does your choir PRAY?
Every choir should begin each session with prayer. That can look very different for different groups, although a classic is the Chorister’s Prayer, which we recently shared.
This year our choir will be beginning each rehearsal with the Chorister’s Prayer as well as the Saint Michæl the Archangel prayer. The latter has long been a favorite of ours, and this year I am printing both selections on sturdy cardstock to keep in the front of our folders. With that in mind, I’m offering the PDF here for other choirs who might like to use these both as well.

A quick note about the St. Michæl the Archangel prayer: this was originally arranged by Paul Jernberg and shared to a sacred music forum. The editor of this site made edits to how the psalm tone is applied, with a desire to make it feel more natural to sing in English. Those who would prefer to use Jernberg’s original edition may find it here.
